Visit to construction site of first Tango Pavilion in Deventer
Last week, we visited the construction site of the very first new Tango Pavilion in Deventer. This new hub is expected to open its doors to the public at the end of September. Visitors can enjoy a fresh cup of coffee and richly filled sandwiches in a pleasant, relaxing environment.
It remains special to see a design become reality – whether the project is large or small. Thanks to the modular construction system, construction time has been significantly reduced. The use of wood not only contributes to a warm appearance, but also offers flexibility during the construction process. Superintendent Lowik aptly put it, ‘Everything fits together perfectly, it goes fast and the guys enjoy building it.’ A nice compliment and confirmation of our principle: simplicity as strength.
What makes this pavilion unique is the combination of materials, the luminous tower and the generous ceiling height. The wood of the canopy flows seamlessly into the interior, creating a calm, natural atmosphere in which visitors can escape the dynamics of traffic for a while.
